New Kids on the Block

The Stichting Adverteerdersjury Nederland*, Brand & Business Architects** and FONK Magazine have released the nominees’ list for the SAN New Kids on the Block 2018… and we are proud to be nominated!

The SAN New Kids on the Block rewards the best newcomers in the game and this year there are 24 of us competing. To be considered for this award, agencies must meet two important criteria: being up to 3 years old (we are less than two – check!) and being “here to stay” or in other words: creating innovative and meaningful work that matters (our slogan says it for us: Make it real – check!).

 

Three rounds compose the NKOTB award:

1. Three polls

Since January, 29th 2019 and on the FONK website, you will find a series of surveys (3 of them, over a week each) with all the contestants and you will have the opportunity to vote for the agency you wish to support. The 15 agencies with the most votes will move ahead to the next step and get a place on the Longlist.

After the first poll, from February 7th, you will find weekly FONK interviews with the founders of the agencies that gathered the most votes.

2. The Longlist

In this second round, the jury will assess the 15 agencies based on their White Papers, their interview with the FONK team as well as their own website. The review and discussion will take place on March, 26th. From there 6 agencies will make it to the Shortlist.

3. The Shortlist

May, 7th: the 6 agencies will give a presentation in front of the Head Jury and Jury. Both juries have equal weight in the final decision, however, in the event of a tie, the opinion of the Head Jury will prevail. A top 3 agencies will come out of this last round.

4. And the winner is

What is better than a gathering crowd of new, industry enthusiasts raising a glass of Champagne to commemorate former year’s inspiring hard work? The final NKOTB winner is known on the day of the presentations itself, however, it will be announced to the public on May, 23rd 2019, during a festive evening in Studio 21 in Hilversum. On that occasion, the winner will receive the SAN New Kids on the Block Accent 2018 award.
